Cottle Coffee Academy is an affiliate of the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA), an international non-for-profit organisation that represents thousands of coffee professionals, from farmers to baristas, across the globe. The mission for SCA is to engage, inspire, and expand a sustainable global specialty community through shared values and core commitments.

The Coffee Skills Program (CSP) was built by SCA to create a structured learning pathway with specific qualification levels. Specialty coffee is a diverse industry with loads of opportunity, particularly in South East Asia. The CSP allows you to choose the education path that suits your interests and needs so you can excel in your very own personalised coffee career.
How it works - 6 modules. 3 Levels. 1 Diploma.
PASS EXAMS. GET CERTIFIED. AND GROW A COFFEE CAREER!
The CSP consists of six different modules: Introduction to Coffee, which only has one level, and five specialist modules: Barista Skills, Brewing, Green Coffee, Roasting and Sensory Skills. Each of the specialist modules has three different levels with points attached. You can choose the modules that fit your interests and needs, developing your own unique pathway, and once you have achieved 100 points you will be awarded the SCA Coffee Skills Diploma.

This class teaches all the steps involved in the coffee supply chain with general knowledge on cultivation (farming), processing & storage, coffee roasting, and coffee brewing (espresso & filter). Suitable for anyone with little to no experience that wants to prepare coffee like it’s served in one of our Cafes in Australia!
This course teaches the fundamentals, the brewing routine, texturing milk, how to create all the beverages (Cappuccino, Latte etc), and how to do basic latte art. It is modelled after the minimum requirements to be able to work as a Barista in an Australian Cafe.

Suitable for anyone that has been making coffee for 2+ months and wants better understanding and control of their espresso sensory results as well as next level Latte Art skills!
